Here it is, an update. I've been hearing it from the husband, the family, and friends, about the lack of blogging; frankly it's hard with one on the breast, and the other swinging from the nearest chandelier. Those that know me, have known that I was always going to be a lawyer, until of course I was going to be a psychiatrist: I never thought I would actually be both and the flashy title would be "stay at home mom". I really do have the best job in the world, but frankly at this point I also think it's the hardest and I've held some pretty challenging positions in the past. I find myself pleading and persuading, day in, day out with the tantrum throwing two year old, and doing the best Jedi mind tricks possible to keep her from a Chernobyl-esque meltdown.

Addison is all we ever imagined her to be, and then some. She's wise beyond her years and keeps us on our toes. She is such an affectionate little lady and makes everyone's day around her, I wouldn't just assume that, I hear it daily. She challenges us: our patience, our wit, as well as our time management and listening skills. I now realize what it's like for parents to have hopes and dreams for their children, but to be honest, as long as she finds something later in life that is just a sparkle of how happy she is every day, I know she'll be in for a lifetime of happiness and adventure. She talks non stop, and is very imaginative which makes for some pretty amazing moments. She is a girlie girl who loves to play dress up, sing and dance all day long but will still tackle and rough house with the best of them.

Addi: "mama, say ice cream"
Me: what babe?
Addi: "say ice cream mama"
Me: ice cream.
Addi: "okay, sure"

She's a sneaky one!!

Olivia is the other side of our familial scale. She is patient, calm, and oh so cuddly. Addi has brought me laughter and joy, Livi beyond a shadow of a doubt, has brought me peace. With this peace also the realization that life has become a lot more simplified since having Livi in some ways, and a little more complex in others.

Both of the girls had their check-ups this past week: Addi is a 30 pound, 3' tall 2 year old, and Addi is a 12 pound, 23" long almost 2 month old, and thanks be to God, as healthy as can be.

Sidebar: Forgive me if my mood changes, the Chargers just gifted another game to the Raiders for the second time this season!!

Addi had a week long celebration of her 2nd birthday. She was so grateful for every gift and was really soaking in and reveling in the fact that it was her day (and Daddy's too)

As usual, Danny, the girls, and I are here there and everywhere: weddings, rodeos, birthdays, and the mandatory fun weekend getaways with the husband. A special shout out to everyone that offers to watch the grommets. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to a festive and eventful holiday season.

Here are some of the latest captured moments, included is Addi petting some of her new baby chicks at Nana and Tata's house, and a cameo from my aunt Celia holding Elise (my cousin Tanya's newbie - 3 weeks younger than Livi, and future BFFs).
